During the summer while working outside on the garden, I used to have the neck fan on, and my mom also has a neck fan in addition to the wide rim hat to keep her head and face in the shade and cool at the same time. This hat provides both features and more. The hat is just under 18in in diameter and made out of polyester fabric and mesh material keeping it light and dry. On both side of the hat brim are round ports in which the fans can be mounted on. The fan is about 3in in size. The fan can either be charged by the included USB C cable or by solar. The solar charge capability is a nice feature, but it is not really practical, unless you are working under full sun light for long length of time. The fan has 3 speed levels and can be controlled by the small button on the side. At top speed level, you can really feel a strong high volume of air push thru. One thing to be considered when wearing the hat. Although the fan is light in size but it is still heavy for the soft fabric. Therefore, if you wear the hat with the fan toward the front like in the picture, the side of the hat may collapse to the side of your face. I suggest that the hat be worn with the fan toward the back of the neck. This way, cool air is blowing toward your neck where you actually need and the brim of the hat will not block your view. The hat also has an adjustable draw string for a close fit.I was pleasantly surprised that the vendor include a 3rd fan for spare. This is a great fan and hat combo keeping you cool under the hot sun.
